5 things every company website must have in 2026

· 1 min read

In 2026 a company website must meet concrete standards or it loses to competitors on the very first visit. This applies especially to service businesses that live on enquiries.

1. Speed and technical stability. Stick to the Core Web Vitals targets (LCP under 2.5 s, INP under 200 ms, CLS under 0.1), optimise images and choose good hosting. 2. Mobile usability: large buttons, a readable menu and a form that can be completed with a thumb.

3. A clear offer and visible contact with no needless clicking: a headline saying what you do and for whom, phone, email and form within sight, and in Norway also your organisation number.

4. Trust and security: reviews, references, company information, HTTPS, a privacy policy, a lawful cookie banner, forms that work and, if you use an AI chatbot, a notice that visitors are talking to AI. Users must feel sure they are dealing with a reliable brand.

5. Visibility: technical SEO, content that answers customer questions, Google Business Profile and a structure that suits AI tools too. We describe the scope at nettivo.no/tjenester. Want to know what your site is missing? Write to nettivo.no/kontakt and we will prepare an audit and action plan.
